Get Licenced / Join the Club

Interested in joining the club?  Maple Ridge Amateur Radio Club is always looking for new members. Both new and experienced ham operators are welcome.  Even if you are not yet a licenced ham radio operator you are still welcome to join the club and work with members of the club to prepare for your exam.  See link below to get more information on how to obtain an Amateur Radio Operators Certificate, or if you already have one, how to join the club.

Club members volunteer at community events such as Pitt Meadows Days, Community parades, Scouts events are just a few of the events that the club assists with.

The club is a community partner with Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows Emergency Support Services (ESS) and the Emergency Operations Centres (EOC).  In the event of a significant emergency or disaster club members may assist with communications from the EOC and throughout the community with other Emergency Support Services (ESS) volunteers.

If the activities of the club interest you and you would like to find out more come pay us a visit.  The club holds a monthly business meeting at the Pitt Meadows Heritage building on the first Tuesday of each month at 19:30 hours. Club members get together weekly Thursday evenings at 19:00 for coffee at the club house.  Come stop by and meet some of our members. <NOTE: Coffee meetings are on-hold during the covid pandemic>

COVID UPDATE / HOW TO PAY/JOIN:

Due to the COVID pandemic, club dues for current and newly-joining members can now be paid via e-transfer.  Please email club member John Mills at:   VA7JPM@hotmail.com.  Dues are $30.  After sending the e-transfer, please send an email to John with your NAME, ADDRESS, CALL SIGN and PHONE NUMBER.
