The club has received correspondence from Geoff Hill, volunteer coordinator for the 2018 Pacific Forest Rally, occurring Sept 28-30 in Merritt. They are seeking amateur radio volunteers to assist with a backroad rally race. Details have been emailed to club members by club secretary Paul (VA7XQ).
Radio volunteers will help track progress of cars along the route, provide security and safety functions. Organizers plan to provide shared accommodations at local hotels, bag lunches and free admittance to the awards banquet along with other perks.
