First up is the club’s longest serving member (and also the club’s co-founder) Pete Orobko.  The cornerstone of Pete’s shack is the Icom 7600 driving an Alpha 77 linear amplifier for HF operations.  Pete also uses an Icom 765 with a squeeze keyer.  Pete is known amongst the club as a highly proficient CW operator.

For VHF and UHF, Pete uses a Yaesu FT857D.

Pete’s antennas include:

  • An Inverted Vee at 60 feet for 75 meters.
  • An Inverted Vee at 60 feet for 40 meters.
  • Hygain TH6DXX at 62 feet for 10, 15 and 20 meters.
