An exciting development in the club; at the June 7th regular business meeting the club passed a motion to purchase and install a Yaesu Wires-X repeater. Many club members now have newer Yaesu radios with the great features encompassed in Wires-X capability. However, coverage in the area is currently limited, so the club hopes to improve that.
This will be a learning opportunity for any club members that want to learn all that is involved in setting up and maintaining a repeater. If you’re interested in participating in the setup, please contact club president Dave (VA7DBJ) to be added to the planning/setup group.
