The tremendous windstorm last Thursday that wreaked havoc on southwestern British Columbia did not leave the club unscathed.  The storm, one of the most powerful in years to hit the area, brought winds gusting close to 100 km/h leaving downed trees and wires.  Hundreds of thousands were left without power for days and one fatality was blamed on the storm.

On a small tower atop the clubhouse, the beam antenna attached to a rotator was noticed to be leaning downward the day following the storm.  In the coming days, the club will be soliciting the help of an able-bodied climber to check the antenna and size-up the damage.
