The club experienced some issues with the 2-meter repeater on Grant Hill.  The issues began during the during the weekly net on the evening of December 5th.  The issue caused some stations to be unreadable by net control.  We apologize for the inconvenience, particularly to those that tried to check-in but could not.

Shortly after the net ended, Nick remotely switched the repeater to the club’s backup repeater located on a downtown Maple Ridge high-rise. This reduced the coverage area footprint of the repeater temporarily.

Dec 7 UPDATE:   Marty, Nick and Wayne went to the Grant Hill site this afternoon and removed the failed repeater.  They installed a backup repeater that we had on hand and the Grant Hill repeater is now working correctly and transmissions on 146.2 are now routed through Grant Hill as normal.

It appears that the receive sensitivity in the repeater was poor, likely due to a failed component.  For now, it’s operations as usual.
